At Bio Hazard Plus, our teams often deal with trauma scenes that involve traffic accidents, workplace accidents, and other types of accidents or incidents. Our team was dispatched to Central California for a trauma scene cleanup job that involved a tractor-trailer accident. We were on standby waiting for Cal OSHA to wrap up their investigation. Once we received clearance, our team discovered that a person had been struck by a tractor-trailer. The extent of the trauma was one block. This type of clean up had several challenges. The first challenge was that the cleanup was widespread; the second challenge was that we had to ensure that all visible signs of trauma were removed from the scene. Next, our team had to make sure that all work was in compliance with local and federal regulations in terms of medical waste disposal. The customers were unfamiliar with the details of the job and relied on our teamโs expertise to walk them through the entire process. We totally restored the scene to its pre-accident condition. The customers were grateful for our professionalism and quick response time.
